I first came across Your Spirit Dies when their latest album, My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, dropped. From the first spin, I was hooked. The record hits that perfect blend of raw emotion and crushing heaviness that makes you stop and pay attention. Right then, they shot straight onto my list of bands I wanted to photograph.

So when the tour with The Callous Daoboys was announced, I jumped on the chance to make it happen. We linked up before their Houston show, knocked out some shots, and then they tore it up on stage. Their energy live perfectly matches the chaos and catharsis of their record—tight, intense, and completely locked in.

Shooting with YSD was a blast, and their performance reminded me why I love doing this in the first place.
