It’s wild to think that Suck Out the Poison has hit the 20 year mark. I still remember rushing to Sam Goody the day it dropped, grabbing the CD, and jamming it nonstop.
Getting to link up with He Is Legend for a shoot before their Houston show at Bad Astronaut and then covering their set felt like a full circle moment. Watching them play the album front to back live is something that’s going to stick with me for a long time.

Closure in Moscow is currently drifting across the United States on the 20 Years of Doppelganger Tour, joined by The Fall of Troy and A Lot Like Birds. I had the pleasure of catching up with them at the Houston stop on the first leg of the tour, and what started as a quick shoot before the show quickly turned into a memorable night of fly-on-the-wall coverage and non-stop laughs.
Despite being just day two of the tour and still battling major jet lag after their long journey from Australia, the entire CIM crew exuded nothing but positivity and energy. It’s rare to see a group so dedicated to their craft while keeping things light and fun—and I can't say enough about how welcoming and amazing the whole team was. A huge thank you to everyone for having me out and for making me feel right at home.
We kicked off the evening with a rooftop shoot at an abandoned Cadillac dealership, setting the stage for what would turn out to be an unforgettable night.
